Terms of Service

Glissé is free and open-source software. There is nothing to buy, no subscription, no licence key and no account, so these terms are short and describe what you are getting rather than what you owe.

Licence

The software is released under the MIT Licence. That licence is the binding agreement covering your use, copying, modification and redistribution of the code. If anything on this page appears to conflict with it, the MIT Licence text governs.

In short, you may use it for anything including commercially, modify it, and redistribute it, provided the copyright notice and licence text travel with it.

No warranty

As the licence states in capital letters, the software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, and the authors are not liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from it or its use. Nothing here creates a support obligation, an uptime commitment, or a promise that any particular feature will keep working.

What you should know before installing

These are not disclaimers hidden in small print; they are the actual conditions of the software, and they are stated on the home page too.

Because the source is public, you are able to verify all of this yourself before running it, and building from source is a supported path.

Downloads

The only official distribution channel is the GitHub Releases page for this repository. Builds obtained anywhere else are not ours and should not be trusted.

This website

The site is provided for information and is served as static files with no accounts and no user submissions. The edge-drag brightness and volume on the home page are a demonstration running entirely in your browser; they do not touch your system settings.

Acceptable use

Do not use the project's issue tracker for spam, harassment, or anything unlawful. Contributions are welcome and are accepted under the same MIT Licence as the rest of the project.

Changes

Revisions to this page are committed to the project repository, so the history is public. The date at the top reflects the current version.

Contact

Use the issue tracker. Bug reports that include your macOS version, your Mac model and the output of Glisse --probe are the ones that get fixed fastest.
